BIG DAY TODAY!
Hey guys! We never got to cover MultiVersus shutting down last Friday, and I did some research and I didn't want it to go to waste... LOL
So let's TALK!!!
The game was released in early access in July, 2022, and then it was fully released on May 28th, 2024 (my birthday)!
But on Friday, January 31st, it was announced the game would end. If you think about it, it didn't even last a full year, in it's full launch!
Fans will not receive refunds and feel scammed. AND innocent developers were being harassed! What a timeline we are living in, huh?
Sooooo why is this significant?
Well, I shall tell you.
The game lost at least 100 MILLION DOLLARS! And that is on top of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League loosing over $200M, Quidditch Champions flopping as well (although how much money is currently unknown), and at least 150 people were laid off from WB Games in 2024!! And as of a few weeks ago, the CEO of WB Games is quitting!
